Rescued this morning. On your table tonight.

Every day, Málaga supermarkets set aside what expires soon. FRIS, our AI, turns it into a box with a recipe for two. Always below shelf price.

How it works

One day at Rescato

A short-dated lot has hours, not weeks. Without Rescato it reaches the bin tonight; with Rescato it reaches a frying pan.

  1. Seven forty in the morning

The store sets aside what expires

Before opening, the store uploads its short-dated lots: the tray of peppers, the pork loin that expires tomorrow, the courgette nobody picked. Perfectly good food that will not sell at shelf price today.

  2. Five past eight in the morning

    FRIS composes the box

Our AI reads that morning’s surplus, picks the lots that work together, and finds a real recipe that uses exactly those. It does not invent dishes: it finds them.

  3. Half past seven in the evening

    You collect and cook

Drop by the store in the slot you chose and pick the box up. Ingredients for two, the recipe in the app, and under three quarters of an hour of cooking.

The box

What you take home

Ingredients for exactly two people, chosen that same day from what was rescued. Every box carries:

Servings
2
Cooking

Price
€2–5
  • Ingredients for one whole recipe

Protein, vegetables and a base. What you need and nothing else — no top-up shop.

  • The recipe, in the app

From real recipes, adapted to the ingredients available that day.

  • Three quarters of an hour at most

No unusual techniques, and no step that needs a tool you do not own.

  • At least 70% rescued

The remainder, when there is one, is a fresh top-up. Always marked on the label.

The bill

No small print

A €2.53 box with 900 g of pork loin in it raises exactly one suspicion: that the food is not worth that. Here is the bill for the box above, line by line, with the shelf price beside it.

The three rescue tiers

  • Tier 1 — you pay 30%

70% below shelf price. It is the tier of the box above: €8.44 of product for €2.53.

  • Tier 2 — you pay 50%

Half of shelf price. That same box would come to €4.22.

  • Tier 3 — you pay 70%

30% below. That same box, €5.91.

The store picks the tier for each lot, on its own criteria. You see which one it is and what you pay before you confirm, and the exact price moves with what is rescued that day.

For now, store pickup only. Home delivery will come later.

No lock-in. Buy the box you want, on the day you want it.

Example box · Roast Málaga pork loin · Tier 1
Pork loin · 900 g€6.30€1.89
Red pepper · 700 g€1.54€0.46
Sweet onion · 500 g€0.60€0.18
You pay€2.53

Each line is 30% of its shelf price, and that sum is the whole bill. No platform fee, no handling charge, nothing that appears at the end. If a box carries a fresh top-up, it goes on at normal shelf price and on its own line.

For supermarkets

Your write-offs stop costing money. They start earning it.

A short-dated lot is worth nothing today and costs money to dispose of. With Rescato it sells, it is documented, and it brings the customer into your store.

  • Revenue where there is now a loss

A tray headed for the bin is worth €0 and adds a disposal cost. On Rescato it sells at the rescue price and the money goes back to the store.

  • Law 1/2025, documented

The law requires surplus to be managed before disposal. The dashboard produces the weekly report: date, product, kilos, category and disposition for every lot.

  • No new operation

Your team uploads the day’s lots from the dashboard, much like a stock count. We compose the box, take payment and notify the customer.

  • The customer walks into your store

Pickup happens in the shop, in the slot the customer chooses. Every rescued box is one more visit and a basket that can grow.

Questions

What everyone asks

Why is it so cheap?
Because the store already paid for that ingredient and will not sell it at shelf price today. It puts the lot in one of three rescue tiers — 30%, 50% or 70% of shelf price — and that is exactly what you pay. We add nothing on top. This is not a donation or a subsidy: it is the market price of short-dated food.
Is the food still good?
Near-expiry is not the same as bad: it is edible food close to its sell-by date. Every lot passes through the store’s own traceability before it enters a box.
Can I choose what is in the box?
The box depends on that day’s surplus, so you cannot pick dish by dish. You can set dietary preferences and block allergens: a box containing them will never reach you.
What if there is an ingredient I dislike?
Recipes come with simple substitutions for secondary ingredients, and your profile rules out anything you have blocked.
Where do I collect the box?
At the partner supermarket, in the slot you choose. At first it is store pickup only; home delivery will come later.
Do I have to subscribe?
For now there is no subscription: buy the box you want, on the day you want it, with no lock-in and no membership fee. One will come later, and it will stay optional.
